Coffee single layer card

Hey all,

It has been a while since my last post. I have gone through a lot of personal things this year and feel very bad that my blog has been neglected. I am back now and ready to help you all get CRAFTY!

You know what goes well with Crafting? COFFEE!!!! ☕️ Todays card is right up your alley if you are a coffee obsessed crafter like me.

Lets get started!

Supplies:

  • Colored pencils
  • Brown paper
  • Brown ink
  • Versamark ink ( optional )
  • Coffee sentiment stamp
  • Coffee bean stamp
  • Coffee cup stamp

I will show you as I go what product I personally used. The products I use don’t necessarily have to be the ones you use, that is the beauty of crafting, you can make it your own.

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated, paid or advertising for any companies mentioned in the blog post. I am just a normal consumer like you.

Step 1

I started off creating a A2 size card base ( 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch) out of Neenah desert storm card stock.

<<

Using the coffee beans from the ” Coffee Rings” stamp set by Your Next Stamp and ” Cup O’ Joe” ink by Hero Arts, I began adding them in a random pattern along the border of the card. Make sure to keep ample room in the middle of the card for a coffee mug.

<<<<<<<<<<

Once I was satisfied with the way the beans were stamped I used Versamark ink to stamp a almost invisible line for my Concord & 9th “Cup of Cozy” coffee cup. <<<

Note: If you do not have Versamark ink you can use your brown ink to do the outline.

<<<<<<

Using my Prismacolor Colored Pencils, I started to color in the coffee cup.

Starting with my celadon green pencil I colored in the leaf design on the cup. <

<<

once this was completed I used my Dark Umber pencil to color in the second design on the cup.

Using all of the French Gray colored pencils, I started from the darkest color where I wanted the shadow and faded to the lightest where the light would touch. I also used a blending pencil to to soften the transition from dark to light.

Using the 50% French Gray, I added some shadow to the inner handle and around the base of the cup.

inside I stamped my favorite stamp by Hampton Arts <<<<<<<

you have now made a coffee lovers dream card 🙂 be sure to post in the comment section your rendition if this card.<<<<
